For those who aren’t lucky enough to live in Melbourne, Autumn is a beautiful time of year to visit our foodie capital.

Light filled rooms with lots of curves this two-storey restaurant designed by award winning design company The Stella Collective has an elegant brasserie feel. Hazel is in Flinders Lane’s Historic Richard Allen & Son’s building.

The menu is meant for sharing and features 5 categories. Just to get your taste buds watering checkout what we ordered from each category;

snacks/starters | sydney rock oysters, salted chilli mignonette   5ea

on toast | raw beef rump & anchovy cream   17

vegetables | cucumbers, horseradish cream & seeds   12

fish/meat | grilled fish, butter sauce & herbs   29

sweets | hazelnut soft serve   12

What we really loved was the on toast category. Home-made sourdough woodfired over Australian Ironbark coals finishing off with a delicious topping. The Wine list is extensive with over 120 wines. Hazel has a beautiful selection of cocktails including one delicious Sunrise Ruby Spritz which has just the right amount of rosemary.
