“GOOD MORNING VIETNAM!”

Sanford Travel Managing Director Georgina Byrt and General Manager Kevin Headings (pictured below top right) recently attended the 2019 Helloworld Business Travel Summit in Ho Chi Minh City. The 3 day event included conferencing, networking with industry peers and suppliers as well as sampling the best that Vietnam has to offer. The event brought together agents from all over Australia and New Zealand to share the latest travel industry developments for the Helloworld Travel Group.

The first 2 nights were spent at the beautiful Park Hyatt Saigon which they both highly recommend if you’re looking for a luxury hotel with classic elegance in an excellent location. They then stayed at the Hotel Des Arts Saigon MGallery hotel which was an excellent 4 star hotel offering a beautiful rooftop pool as well as the swanky Social Club rooftop bar and restaurant. Kevin and Georgina also enjoyed a day exploring the beautiful Mekong Delta on a day trip arranged by Travel Indochina Tours. Travel Indochina offer local guides with a wealth of real local knowledge on the destination.

Other highlights from the trip included a city tour on vespa motorcycles arranged by Vespa Adventures. The best way to experience this city like a local. The Helloworld Business Travel Networking Dinner at Xu Restaurant sponsored by Etihad Airways where Kevin had a dance with Aussie diva Kate Cebrano. On Saturday evening all delegates came together one final time for the Farewell Party sponsored by Air New Zealand with the one-and-only Jimmy Barnes rocking the night away.
